SBIF LEAP (Livelihood and Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme): UDYAMEE

 

The SBIF LEAP – UDYAMEE initiative, supported by SBI Foundation, aims to promote and strengthen women-led micro-enterprises in the handloom and bamboo & cane sectors across Kamrup and Dibrugarh districts of Assam. The initiative focuses on strengthening cluster-based enterprises, improving product quality and production systems, and enabling collective access to markets and financial services.

The initiative aims at benefiting 1,000 rural women entrepreneurs through – 

  • Strengthening of Existing Entrepreneurs as market-linked, sustainable micro-enterprises.
  • Selection of New Entrepreneurs into community-based entrepreneurship collectives.
  • Establishing Cluster-Level Facility Centres (CFCs) to serve as centralized hubs for shared production, quality control, and packaging.
  • Enable market access and competitiveness through collective branding, packaging, buyer linkages, exhibitions, and integration with digital and institutional marketplaces.
  • Strengthen enterprise capacity and institutions by upgrading product quality, production systems, and business skills through cluster-based models and empowered Cluster Level Federations (CLFs). Ensure financial sustainability and scale by facilitating access to credit, government schemes, shared infrastructure, and enterprise finance systems.
